The system has been developed by Intelligent Fleet, an independent fleet consultancy specialising in cost and tax optimisation.

    Mileagebase can fully manage the opt-out of drivers from private fuel, resulting in substantial savings for the company whilst ensuring that no employees are disadvantaged. Savings can be as much as £1,500 per employee per annum.

    Pay & reclaim
    Mileagebase provides a viable alternative to using HM Revenue & Customs Advisory Fuel Rates. The application will calculate a true cost reimbursement based upon the official fuel efficiency of the vehicle and current fuel prices. Employees simply entes their miles and the registration number of their vehicle and the system will calculate the actual costs using the built-in database. Employers can even set their own mpg tolerance levels to cope with inner-city driving. As well as being a fairer method of reimbursement to employees, this method can also save up to 10% on fuel reimbursement costs.

    Employee Car Ownership (ECO) schemes
    Accurate and timely mileage submissions are essential for ECO schemes. Mileagebase will fully manage the collection process and reporting of allowances for use within the scheme.
